Charleston Police want information on downtown burglary

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police are asking the public to help identify a man named a person of interest in a downtown burglary.

Police say an unknown person entered a home on Radcliffe Street near Coming Street between 3 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. on Thursday and say an assault subsequently happened.

The suspect fled west on Radcliffe Street toward Rutledge Avenue, police spokesman Charles Francis said.

Surveillance images show a man with a muscular build and approximately 30 years old.

Detectives want to identify him as a person of interest in the burglary.

Anyone with information on the person’s identity or information about the burglary is asked to contact the Charleston Police Department or Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch at 843-743-7200.

Police are also asking anyone in the area who may have surveillance video to contact the Charleston Police Department.
