KINGSTREE, SC (WCSC) - Residents of Williamsburg County received help ahead of potential flooding from Hurricane Florence on Friday.

Thousands of people could be impacted, so the Lowcountry Food Bank and Feed America are working together to provide fresh food and non-perishables.

The food distribution started at 10 a.m. Friday at the Williamsburg County School District headquarters in Kingstree.

The groups gave out water, produce and disaster boxes packed with canned fruits, vegetables and pasta.

The school district requested the assistance.
