Report: High bacteria, fecal levels found in some SC rivers because of Florence runoff
The Winyah Rivers Foundation have confirmed high bacteria and fecal levels in some South Carolina rivers because of runoff from Hurricane Florence.

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Winyah Rivers Foundation has confirmed high bacteria and fecal levels in some South Carolina rivers because of runoff from Hurricane Florence.

Representatives from the group say the Waccamaw, Lumber, Lynches, Pee Dee, and Little Pee Dee rivers may all be contaminated.

People are being advised to stay out of flood waters associated with these rivers.
