Clemson fans arrive in Dallas for the Cotton Bowl

DALLAS (WCSC) - While the Clemson Football team arrived in Dallas a few days ago, fans started to make their way to the Lone Star state after Christmas.

Wednesday was full of thunderstorms and lightning but the weather didn’t bring Clemson fans down.

Lyn Harper and her family from Clover, South Carolina got in town early to experience all Dallas has to offer.

“We’ve done the hop on hop off bus and did the tour of Dallas, and on Friday we’re going to tour AT&T Stadium and the game on Saturday!” Harper said. Her family has been part of the IPTAY booster club for over 50 years and her children graduated from Clemson University.

“We’ve been to many bowl games,” she added. “All the way back to 1981... we’ve been traveling since then.”

While there are still a few days before the big game, Harper said her family already has reservations for the National Championship in California.

Abbey O’Brien will be in Dallas leading up to the big game and will be covering stories from the fans all week.
