CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police officers are searching for a couple who shoplifted nearly $2000 worth of merchandise from the Louis Vuitton store in downtown.

Investigators released pictures of two people in connection to the incident that happened on 230 King St. between 6:11 p.m. and 6:44 p.m.

Police say the suspects stole $1,960 worth of merchandise consisting of a blue/black LV Pocket Organizer, a gold in color LV Bracelet, a black/brown LV Belt, and a red/brown LV Belt.

Police describe the female suspect as a black female, possibly in her early 20’s, with black hair pulled above her head, and wearing a black and white striped long sleeve shirt, black pants, black shoes with white trim, and carrying a brown purse with gold trim.

The second suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his early 20’s with black hair, and wearing a white polo style shirt, grayish pants, and light blue shoes.

Since January 2018, the store has been hit at least six times by shoplifters who have stolen more than $15,000 in merchandise.
