FLOOD WATCH ISSUED, SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE...
An unstable pattern has setup across the Southeast providing the potential for heavy rains and strong storms over the next 36-48 hours. Scattered showers are possible this morning with an increased chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Any storms that develop today could produce heavy rainfall, gusty winds and an isolated tornado can't be ruled out. Activity should quiet down overnight before another round returns on Wednesday. The best potential for severe weather will fall in the afternoon/evening hours on Wednesday. A cold front finally moves through the area Thursday morning bringing an end to this unsettled weather. Full sunshine is expected Friday through Memorial Day with temps heating up this holiday weekend. Highs will be in the 90s this weekend.
