SC teen accused of molesting boys at his school

SUMTER, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina authorities are accusing an 18-year-old high school student of molesting boys at his private school.

The Item of Sumter reports that Arthur Richardson of Dalzell now faces 16 charges of molesting and exposing himself to boys after 11 new counts were filed Tuesday. He has been on house arrest since earlier this month, but his bond is now $35,000.

His father, Arthur Gregg Richardson Sr., said Wednesday the family doesn't want to comment yet.

Sumter County Sheriff's Lt. David Florence said Thomas Sumter Academy has banned Richardson from the school.

Florence said the crimes occurred at school, outside a basketball playoff game, and in Richardson's and his victims' homes. The victims range in age from 3 to 13.
