CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston firefighters were called out to a small fire at the Ashley Oaks Apartments in West Ashley at 8:15 am Wednesday.
Fire officials said a minor electrical fire started in an attic in the "D" building of the complex. They said the entire building was evacuated as a precaution, but people were allowed back inside after firefighters pinpointed where the smoke was coming from and put out the fire.
The complex is located on Ashley Hall Plantation Road.
