WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - A man whose northeastern Pennsylvania property contained as many as 12 corpses will be tried on double-murder charges this fall.
A Luzerne County judge ruled Thursday that 36-year-old Hugo Selenski will stand trial beginning Nov. 15.
Selenski is charged with killing Michael Kerkowski and Tammy Fassett in 2002. Their bodies were among many remains discovered a year later on Selenski's land near Wilkes-Barre.
The judge on Thursday also set Selenski's trial on escape charges for Oct. 12. Selenski escaped from jail in 2003 while awaiting trial on charges he killed two other people whose bodies were found in his yard.
Selenski was acquitted of those killings but is serving up to 65 years for a home invasion.
