Shooting erupts after SC Super Bowl party

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Gunfire broke out at a Super Bowl party in Darlington County, leaving one man dead and another injured.

Darlington County Deputies responded to a 911 call shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday night about a shooting. Investigators say a fight broke out at a super bowl party on Mimosa Drive just before half-time.

During the fight two men began shooting at each other. Both men were transported to an area hospital where one of the two was pronounced dead.

Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee identified the deceased man as 20-year-old Andre Bradford of Hartsville. Hardee reported that Bradford died from several gunshot wounds. His body will be transported to Newberry for an autopsy on Monday.

Investigators said the injured person is being treated at an area hospital and is expected to live.

Officials are still investigating the shooting. No charges have been filed at this time.
