COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - An 86-year-old man suspected of killing two women in a Westminster home has been found dead at a state mental facility. An Oconee County Sheriff's Office spokesman confirmed Nicholas Bonelli's death. Bonelli was found not competent to stand trial for the deaths of 82-year-old Clarine Smith 63-year-old Sandra Myers.

EUTAWVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Two bounty hunters are charged with kidnapping a man at a Eutawville home. Authorities say Corey Newkirk and Shannon Samuel went there yesterday to arrest David Smith Sr. on a warrant from Maryland. Authorities said Newkirk and Samuel didn't notify local authorities they were in town or ask for assistance.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - An attorney for Sen. Robert Ford says ethics allegations against Ford should be thrown out because he didn't realize he was under investigation. Attorney William Runyon also told the Senate Ethics Committee attorney-client privilege should apply to Ford's conversations with the committee's attorney. He said Ford should get a chance to fix his campaign filings.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Senators have advanced a measure to keep government running at current levels if legislators can't finish a budget before the fiscal year starts July 1. The Senate Finance Committee met today to send the continuing resolution to the floor.
