On Sunday, a Summerville man was sentenced to life after a jury found him guilty of a 2016 murder. Joseph Lamar Brown Jr., 20, was found guilty of Murder, Burglary 1st Degree, Attempted Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Berkeley County Coroner Office has identified the victims killed in a shooting Saturday evening. Oslen Patton was pronounced dead on the scene and his wife, 37-year-old Rashad Patton, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to Coroner Bill Salisbury.
