Our Hematology Department performs numerous tests on blood. The most commonly performed is the complete blood count (CBC), also known as full blood count (FBC). Blood is drawn by a Phlebotomy Technician whose skill produces minimal discomfort.
Blood chemistry tests are commonly ordered before surgery or general health exams. This test analyzes various substances found in the blood. Patients should expect the slight discomfort of a blood draw.
There are two types of pregnancy tests: urine and blood. Both tests detect the presence of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) that indicates a woman is pregnant.More >>
