HOT SUMMER WEEKEND WITH HAZY SUN & POP-UP SHOWERS
The heat continues as we head into Saturday and Sunday. Over the weekend a weak front will sink into the area and fall apart. This will bring us a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday at 20-30%. Highs will stay in the lower to mid 90's.
ECLIPSE WEATHER: The front will be falling apart and we will be looking at a mix of clouds and sunshine. The big question remains how much cloud cover. Right now it looks to be typical August with a 40% or so sky coverage and 30% chance of pop-up showers. Bottom line, we will see the sun but clouds will be mixing. Temp will be around 91 during totality. We will keep you posted. JOIN US LIVE STARTING AT NOON ON LIVE 5 NEWS.

Tropics: Watching Tropical Storm Harvey which will stay well to the south of the U.S. in the Caribbean and two other tropical waves. The first one has a 70% chance to develop and will be the one we will keep a close eye on into next week. If anything does change, we will alert you first with the latest on the LIVE 5 FIRST ALERT WEATHER APP.
