BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -Thirty one year old Larry Powell is wanted for a Probation Violation stemming from a conviction for Credit Card Fraud.
"He used the car without permission from the person and he went to cash a check which wasn't his and also someone else's credit card," said S.C. Probation and Parole agent David Fashion Jr.
Powell could have gotten up to five years in prison, but was given probation and ordered to pay back his victims. "He's in violation today for not reporting, changing his residence and he owes money," said Fashion.
Probation agents say prison is the perfect place for Powell, and they say based on his criminal record he'll probably try to do anything to try to avoid being caught. His record goes back to 1995 and includes convictions for Assault and Battery, Resisting Arrest and Failure to Comply with Police. "We want to get him badly because he hasn't complied with the parole board's order, the victims want their money and he should be held accountable for what he's done," Fashion stressed.
Larry Powell's last known address was on Santee River Road in the Alvin community of Berkeley County. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111. Remember, you can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
