NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are looking for 29 year old Marc Riley. Riley is wanted on a charge of Assault And Battery With Intent To Kill in connection with the June 28th shooting on Fillmore Street. "Kind of a friend of his actually and we're not really sure what the argument was about," said North Charleston Detective Alan Kramitz. "Mr. Riley approached him later on that morning and the two got into a dispute and Marc shot him."
Police say Riley's intended target was hit in the shoulder. "He's very lucky the shot was actually very close proximity to Marc and the victim. It could have gone either way," Kramitz said.
Detectives say Riley has managed to stay under the radar and believe he has friends out there hiding him. "I've actually spoken to Marc on the phone twice now. He's promised to turn himself in, but he's never showed up for any of my meetings," Kramitz said. "With Marc knowing he's wanted by police and the possibility of him still having a gun with him is a dangerous situation for us and the public."
Riley stands 5'9" and weighs about 155 pounds. His last known address was on Rice Drive in North Charleston. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111. Remember you can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
