NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -A deadly trailer fire took the the lives of two young children, police now say their mother is to blame. Twenty-seven year-old Amy Robinson is now behind bars.
Last night North Charleston police arrested Robinson and charged her with two counts of homicide by child neglect and one count of unlawful conduct towards a child.
Today at her bond hearing Robinson quickly became emotional, that lasted the entire three minutes. She's being held without bond. The judge said that a circuit court judge must set the bond amount.
Robinson said she was in the bathroom when the fire first started. But according to the police and fire investigation she was not in the vicinity of the trailer when the fire began.
