CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -Twenty five year old Michael Wright is wanted for a Probation Violation. Wright is on probation for Criminal Sexual Conduct 3rd Degree. "The problem that presents itself for Mr. Wright is that he's a convicted sex offender," explained South Carolina Probation and Parole Agent Lynne Moldenhauer. "We cannot have sex offenders running amok in the community without supervision."
Probation agents say since they issued their warrant for Wright, he has committed another crime. "The Charleston County Sheriff's office has issued a warrant for his failure to register as a sex offender. He's just building problems for himself in this community," Moldenhauer said.
Wright has no prior criminal record. But probation agents say ignore that. He's still very dangerous and has been on the run since April 2008. "He's either not in the area or he's just decided that he's had enough trouble and the only way to avoid apprehension is to not make himself available to law enforcement or the probation department," said Moldenhauer.
