ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A 70-year-old grandfather has died after the motorcycle he was driving slid off a South Carolina road and hit a sign.
Multiple media outlets reported Tuesday that Alford Roy Lee died of head trauma Monday. His wife, Betty, told the Anderson Independent-Mail that Lee leaves behind six children and 12 grandchildren.
Authorities think speed was a factor in the crash. Lee was driving a motorcycle near Anderson when he slid off a road in a curve.
He was not wearing a helmet. The Highway Patrol is investigating.
