Police make arrest in Pineville store robbery November 10, 2009 at 5:22 AM EST - Updated June 21 at 10:21 AM By Live 5 News Staff email | Twitter PINEVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in connection the armed robbery that occurred Monday night at Thornhill’s Grocery on Edgewater Road in Pineville. Jubary Danzell President, 18, of Cross, SC, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, assault and battery with intent to kill, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. A masked suspect carrying a rifle robbed Thornhill's Grocery and Tackle store on Edgewater Road in Pineville around 7 pm Monday, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. President fired several shots when the clerk told him she didn't have any money, a Sheriff's Office spokesman said. Three people were wounded and taken to area hospitals. The clerk, a 37-year-old woman, is in serious but stable condition. The two other people wounded are in fair and stable condition.
