Police cars crash

CAYCE, S.C. (AP) - Two South Carolina law officers have been checked out at a hospital after authorities say their police cars crashed on a neighborhood street.

Multiple media outlets reported Thursday that an unmarked Cayce police car collided with a marked police car on K Ave. around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses say they heard a crash followed by screaming.

Cayce police declined comment on the crash.

Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Josef Robinson says authorities are investigating. He says the officers were responding to a service call.

Robinson says the officers were wearing their seatbelts and were treated and released from the hospital.
