CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Mt. Pleasant and Charleston firefighters spent their Tuesday morning battling blazes.
The first one started at Paradise Moters on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard in Mt. Pleasant. The building on the lot was heavily damaged. Firefighters had to shut down parts of Johnnie Dodds Boulevard to fight the fire.
The second fire happened in downtown Charleston on Radcliffe Street between St. Phillip and King streets. Fire officials said the fire started in the attic but didn't spread to any other part of the home.
The second floor of the home, however, has extensive water and smoke damage and fire officials said it is now unlivable.
Causes of both fires are under investigation.
