NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The funeral service for two children murdered last Sunday in Hanahan will be held Thursday.
Family and friends of five-year-old Kylie Lavelle and five-month-old Landon Lavelle will gather at the Northside Baptist Church for their service.
The children were shot and killed by their grandmother, 51-year-old Phyllis Oser, the morning of Jan. 31 at her Hanahan home, according to Hanahan police. Investigators say Oser then turned the gun on herself.
Phyllis Oser's husband, David Oser, found the bodies in a bedroom on a bed together. He was not home at the time of the shootings.
Notes were found in the home written by Mrs. Oser. The notes indicated she was depressed and worried about financial and family issues.
