BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A teenaged man died Sunday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle and running head-first into a full-size pick-up truck.
According to the Berkeley County Coroner, 17-year-old Allen Barnette was traveling on Highway 402 when he lost control of his motorcycle and veered into oncoming lanes where he struck a Ford truck.
The motorcycle caught fire, said the coroner. Barnette was pinned under the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barnette was wearing a helmet, the report said.
The Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
