$140M winning ticket sold in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA (WMBF) – Powerball officials say a winning multi-million dollar Powerball ticket was sold in North Carolina for Saturday night's drawing.

The North Carolina Education Lottery announced that the winning ticket from Saturday night's Powerball drawing was sold at a Wilco Hess convenience store in Asheville.

The jackpot was an estimated $140 million, and lottery officials say there were more than 1 million other players who won a total of more than $9.5 million. So far a winner hasn't come forward yet.

The winning numbers from Saturday night were, 14-22-52-54-59, the Powerball was 4, and the Power Play was 3.

The estimated jackpot will be reset to $20 million for Wednesday's drawing.
