Coroner: N. Charleston man shot wife, then himself

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The Dorchester County Coroner said 49-year-old Grayland Eddinger shot his wife Therese in the head, then turned the gun on himself.

Grayland Eddinger was pronounced dead at the scene.

North Charleston police say around 3:30 pm, they responded to a domestic situation on Cherry Blossom Drive in Wescott Plantation.

Therese Eddinger was taken to MUSC in critical condition.  The coroner said she's doing much better.

Officials said the couple had been dealing with marital problems.
