Woodruff woman charged with embezzling a half-million from Union bank

COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A Woodruff woman is charged with embezzling half a million dollars from her employer, an upstate bank.

Acting United States Attorney Kevin F. McDonald said Kimberly O. McAbee, 44, of Woodruff, is charged with one count of bank embezzlement.  
Federal authorities say, McAbee embezzled about $520,000 from Arthur State Bank in Union, South Carolina while employed there from 2005 until 2009.
The maximum penalty McAbee could receive is a fine of $1,000,000 and imprisonment for 30 years.
