COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) - A Columbia woman pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to committing mail fraud.
Rosa Maria Frazier, 45, pleaded guilty to committing mail fraud. From September 2006 to November 2007, Frazier's co-defendant Keisha Sims obtained unauthorized credit card accounts, issued in the names of others from various companies. Frazier allowed Sims to use her address as one of the locations to have the cards mailed.
After receiving the unauthorized credit cards, Sims would use them throughout the Columbia area, fraudulently charging more than $34,000 towards goods and services.
Sims, 40, of Columbia, was sentenced last January to serve 33 months in prison for her involvement in the fraud.
