MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A coastal city in South Carolina is considering a plan to put tourists up in the air.
The Myrtle Beach Downtown Redevelopment Corp. might build a tram - basically a horizontal ski lift - along the oceanfront.
It's 1 of several options being considered for attractions near city's new mile-long boardwalk scheduled to open this spring.
Members of the redevelopment board postponed a discussion of the tram this week to give members more time to consider it. But board member Chuck Martino likes the idea and says a tram would change the city's skyscape.
Trams are used in several oceanfront resorts, including Seaside Heights, N.J.
