CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx and former Bank of America CEO Hugh McColl are leading a delegation to the White House to talk about jobs.
The delegation is leaving Friday morning.
The group will be sharing feedback from four town hall meetings hosted by the city back in February focusing on unemployment in Charlotte.
"My message to the Obama administration will be clear," said Mayor Foxx. "Charlotte should be the national poster child for recovery."
The mayor went on to say the President wants to promote new energy sources, green jobs, and small business growth and many pathways to the nation's recovery will "flow through Charlotte."
The delegation includes business people from Duke Energy, Wells Fargo, and Carolinas HealthCare System among others.
