Pedestrian killed by train in northeast Charlotte

Charlotte, NC - CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police and firefighters are responding to a pedestrian who was  struck by a train in northeast Charlotte around 12:15 p.m.

The incident occurred on the tracks near the intersection of University City Boulevard and Pavillion Boulevard.

Medic spokesman Jeff Keith said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
