SC man caught with over six pounds of pot near park

INDIAN LAND, SC (WBTV) - Sheriff's deputies arrested a Lancaster man on Thursday who was in possession of more than six pounds of marijuana near a public park.

Lepoleon Hall is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana within proximity of a park, according to Lancaster County deputies.

Investigators were patrolling along Central Avenue and when they spotted Hall driving a vehicle. Officials say deputies knew Hall's driving license had been suspended, so they pulled him over.

While searching Hall's vehicle, they sheriff's office said they found 11 bags of marijuana which weighed 6.21 pounds.

In addition to the bags, the deputies found a set of digital scales and three boxes of freezer bags. There was also more than $20,000 in cash in the vehicle.

Hall is being held in the Lancaster County Detention Center.
