COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – A Columbia police officer is on administrative leave without pay after being charged with criminal domestic violence.
Lexington Police say 38-year-old Paul John Myers got into a physical altercation with his wife Saturday morning.
Police say they responded to the couple's home around 1 a.m. Saturday after a 911 call by Mrs. Myers. Lexington Police Lt. Matt Davis said Mrs. Myers has minor injuries, but Davis wouldn't say if drugs or alcohol were involved.
Lexington County Detention Center booking information shows Myers is out of jail on a $5,000 bond.
Paul John Myers is a Master Police Officer assigned to the South Region, according to Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter. Mr. Myers has been on the force since November 2007.
