CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Navy's Blue Angels flying demonstration team will appear off the South Carolina coast next month.
The Navy pilots will fly over Charleston Harbor on April 17 and 18.
Arrangements for the show come after Charleston Air Force Base canceled its air show planned the same weekend because of the war in Afghanistan. The Blue Angels had been scheduled to appear at the Air Force show.
Navy Lt. Amy Tomlinson says the group will bring six F/A-18 jet fighters and put on a one-hour show each day.
The Charleston show is part of a Navy Week celebration set for April 12-18. Officials are working on other events for the week.
