Columbia director: Stations show porn, say it's his film

COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) -

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina movie director who also is a former state lawmaker is suing cable TV channels, contending they mixed up one of his films with what he says is a pornographic movie with the same title.

James "Bubba" Cromer said in the suit filed on Monday in Los Angeles that he noticed earlier this month his comedy "The Hills Have Thighs" was going to be on The Movie Channel and Cinemax.

The lawsuit says a television listing had the description of Cromer's movie and its actors. But the Columbia lawyer says what came on instead was a 2010 film with the same name which included nudity and sex acts.

Cromer is asking for an unspecified amount of damages.

The cable channels didn't immediately comment on the lawsuit.
