Federal meth conspiracy suspect to go to Indiana

SANFORD, FL - SANFORD, Fla. (AP) - A fugitive captured in central Florida in a federal drug conspiracy case has greed to return to Indiana.

Francisco Ramos Ramirez remains in the Seminole County Jail, but authorities say he will be moved back to Evansville, Ind., in the next few days.

The 31-year-old was arrested late Monday. Authorities believe he was living in the area for more than a year.

A federal grand jury in Indiana indicted him in 2004 on charges alleging he conspired with 14 other people to traffic in large amounts of methamphetamines and marijuana. The indictment alleges that Ramirez was 1 of the leaders in the drug conspiracy, moving drugs from Mexico and California to southern Indiana.

The group also is accused of conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana.
