CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina university is unveiling a marker to commemorate its own history.
Officials at Coastal Carolina University in Conway on Friday unveil a historical marker commemorating the founding of the university in 1954 and the opening of the university's Edward Singleton Building in 1963.
Coastal Carolina is located in Conway, about 12 miles from Myrtle Beach. The school has about 7,800 students.
