COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina's public television station is featuring schools that integrate arts and the environment into student lessons.

The monthly "In our Schools" television show on South Carolina ETV is highlighting Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary in Dorchester 2 and Kelly Mill Middle in Richland 2.

Teachers and students at Windsor Hill in North Charleston will discuss how connecting the arts to core subjects has captured students' interest and improved learning.

The program will also feature an environmental program at Kelly Mill in Blythewood that takes learning outside.

Schools Superintendent Jim Rex has touted arts integration and outdoor-education as among public school options he hopes spread statewide.

The hour-long show airs 1 p.m. Sunday.
