BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina man has been convicted of killing another man during an argument over a woman last year.
The Item of Sumter reported that 26-year-old James Keion Spann of Bishopville was convicted by a Lee County jury after 45 minutes of deliberations Wednesday.
Twenty-1-year-old Lindsay Lovely was shot to death last April.
The jury also convicted Spann of first-degree burglary and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Circuit Judge Ferrell Cothran sentenced Spann to life in prison.
The victim's mother testified she recognized the man who came to her door as the ex-boyfriend of her son's girlfriend.
Before he was sentenced, Spann denied killing Lovely.
