Republican governor candidates meet at SC coast

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The four Republicans candidates for governor get a chance to meet voters during a forum on the South Carolina coast.

The Propeller Club of the Port of Charleston hosts the candidates on Thursday evening at the Altman Athletic Center at The Citadel.

Lt. Governor Andre Bauer, U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett, state Rep. Nikki Haley and Attorney General Henry McMaster are all attending.

The Propeller Club of the Port of Charleston has members representing all the state's maritime shipping interests.

Organizers say it's the third-largest Propeller Club in the world with 345 members.
