DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) - The NASCAR Nationwide Series race in South Carolina has a new sponsor.
Darlington Raceway said Monday that Royal Purple Synthetic Oil has signed a multiyear deal to be the title sponsor. Terms were not disclosed.
This year's race will be known as the Royal Purple 200 Presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts. The race is set for about 7:30 p.m. May 7.
Royal Purple was founded in 1986 and makes marine, racing, snowmobile, and motorcycle oils.
May 7 will include Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series practice in the morning, qualifying for both races and the race that night.
The Sprint Cup Series race, the Showtime Southern 500, is set for May 8.
