COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A fourth person has died after two boat crashes in South Carolina.
Multiple media outlets reported the crashes occurred late Saturday night on Lake Murray northwest of Columbia.
The first crash happened between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday and killed Kelli Nichole Bullard of Lexington and 24-year-old Amber Golden of Woodville, Ala.
Officials say about 30 minutes later, 22-year-old Matthew Kyle Howk of Columbia died after his 14-foot fishing boat hit a 23-foot craft less than a mile from the first collision.
Lt. Robert McCullough with the Natural Resources Department said Monday a second person on the fishing boat has died. Richland Coroner Gary Watts did not immediately return a message seeking the victim's name.
McCullough says the deaths are the first on Lake Murray this year.
