BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - One woman remains in custody after she was found by Brunswick County deputies in possession of a stolen truck over the weekend.
Officials with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office say they located a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck after it was reported as stolen on Saturday from Corbin Lane in Supply.
Twenty-four hours after it was reported stolen by its registered owners, deputies found Tanya Renee Powers in possession of the truck. She was taken into custody without incident and was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.
Powers was transported to the Brunswick County Detention Facility, where she remains in custody on a $9,000 bond.
Deputies returned the truck to its rightful owner.
