BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in tracking down the person or people connected to a string of car break-ins in Leland over the weekend.
April Gause, spokeswoman for the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, says the incidents occurred between 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Hood Creek Village neighborhood.
Officials say the suspects have targeted vehicles left unlocked and are searching for GPS systems, electronics, coins and cash. Those living in the area are reminded to secure their cars and report any suspicious activity in the area.
Anyone with tips leading to new information on the investigation is asked to call the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office at (910) 253-2777.
