SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - A man who authorities say killed his wife then led police on a 100-mile chase up Interstate 85 into North Carolina has ben extradited to South Carolina to face murder and other charges.
Spartanburg County deputies said officers brought 45-year-old Arthur Duval Mims back on Monday.
Investigators say Mims shot and killed his wife in their Duncan home last week and wounded his stepdaughter before setting the home on fire.
Police say officers spotted his pickup truck on I-85 in Cherokee County. He led them on a 100-mile chase through Charlotte into Davidson County, only stopping after his tires were flattened and rims disintegrated.
Authorities say Mims then held police at bay for three hours.
It wasn't clear if Mims had an attorney.
