Officials release name of 4th boating victim

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Officials have released the name of a fourth person killed after a pair of boating crashes on a South Carolina lake.

Multiple media outlets reported that Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said 36-year-old Randall Carter of Irmo died early Tuesday at a Columbia hospital.

Both accidents late Saturday involved a pair of boats that collided on Lake Murray, northwest of Columbia.

Carter was on a fishing boat with 22-year-old Kyle Howk of Columbia, who died shortly after the collision. A third man on their boat is hospitalized.

In an accident about 30 minutes earlier, 25-year-old Kelli Nichole Bullard of Lexington and 24-year-old Amber Golden of Woodville, Ala., died when their boat collided with another boat.

A dozen people have died on South Carolina waterways this year, more than all of 2009.
