GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (AP) - An Ohio-based company that makes signs is putting its headquarters in a former mill building in South Carolina.
The state Commerce Department announced on Thursday that MCA Sign Company is investing more than $12 million on the project in Graniteville and expects to create about 125 jobs.
The Massillon, Ohio-based company is moving its entire operation into the new building that used to be part of the Avondale Mills textile facility in Aiken County. That company closed after a 2005 chemical spill corroded its equipment.
The company specializes in custom signs, banners and displays. The building is being outfitted now, and the company expects to be fully operational by August.
