COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A panel working on an overhaul of South Carolina's tax system will discuss taxes on intangible goods and services.
The panel's meeting on Thursday comes as the state Tax Realignment Commission works toward a November deadline to propose changes to the state's tax laws.
Proponents for years have suggested a broader state sales tax because South Carolina's economy is increasing driven by services that aren't taxed.
