COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A top executive at the new Boeing Co. facility in South Carolina is previewing the company's new 787 assembly line.
The University of South Carolina says Marco Cavazzoni is speaking on Friday at the school's main campus in Columbia.
Cavazzoni is the vice president and general manager of final assembly and delivery at the Charleston facility.
Boeing last year selected Charleston for its $750 million aircraft assembly plant in the largest single industrial investment in state history. The venture is expected to create 3,800 jobs.
Last week, Boeing announced it would also build a plant nearby to make and assemble the plane's interior parts.
