Deputies looking for man who robbed woman, stole car

ST. STEPHEN, SC (WCSC) - BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - St. Stephen police received a call Tuesday morning that woman who was helping clean up at the Evangelical church was held up by a man with a rifle.

According to police, the robbery happened at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The victim told police she thought the robber was kidding, but when she stared down the barrell of his gun, she knew he meant business.

The suspect made her lie down on the ground and stole her purse, her cell phone and then her car, a white Eddie Bauer edition Expedition with license plate CQC-386.

Construction workers in the area tried to track him down but were ultimately unseccessful.

The victim says she had three stickers on her back window that might standout --  a blue palm tree, blue flip flops and and an orange clemson sticker.
